Hi Friends,
Its been 2 months that we have posted anything & I am so happy that we are making a comeback with this one as this is a very special one. My brother & sister-in-law celebrated their 15th anniversary on 17th April. So I decided to make a personalised ZIA with their names on it. I started with tracing their names "Shrikant" & "Mini" on paper using a stencil. After tracing their names, I decided to colour them using "Sakura Watercolour Pens". It was my first time using these pens and it was such a delight to use them.
Almost when I was about to finish the project, I decided to insert a "Happy Anniversary" wish for them in the ZIA :)
Though after making I realised I should have used lighter, string style tangles in some sections specially, eg, I shouldn't have used Knightsbridge & Nipa around the alphabets, I am still very happy with the end product.
My brother, sister-in-law and the little angels loved the gift and this framed ZIA now adorns the wall of their room.

Once their names were coloured, to make it complete, I added names of my two adorable nieces "Aarana" aged 5 years and "Aadya" aged 2.5 years above and below their names. Also, when making this ZIA, I had decided that I would divide my entire drawing space in a grid pattern and tangle within the grid so that the tangles look like they have been stacked above each other. And it was such a cool incident that recently this week a new facebook group titled "Zentangle: Stacked and Tangled" & I felt so happy that my thoughts were in line with the new trend of stacking :)

Hope you all like our work.
