Personalised Gift - ZIA Frame

Hi Friends,

Its been 2 months that we have posted anything & I am so happy that we are making a comeback with this one as this is a very special one. My brother & sister-in-law celebrated their 15th anniversary on 17th April. So I decided to make a personalised ZIA with their names on it. I started with tracing their names "Shrikant" & "Mini" on paper using a stencil. After tracing their names, I decided to colour them using "Sakura Watercolour Pens". It was my first time using these pens and it was such a delight to use them.

Once their names were coloured, to make it complete, I added names of my two adorable nieces "Aarana" aged 5 years and "Aadya" aged 2.5 years above and below their names. Also, when making this ZIA, I had decided that I would divide my entire drawing space in a grid pattern and tangle within the grid so that the tangles look like they have been stacked above each other.  And it was such a cool incident that recently this week a new facebook group titled "Zentangle: Stacked and Tangled" & I felt so happy that my thoughts were in line with the new trend of stacking :)

Almost when I was about to finish the project, I decided to insert a "Happy Anniversary" wish for them in the ZIA :)

Though after making I realised I should have used lighter, string style tangles in some sections specially, eg, I shouldn't have used Knightsbridge & Nipa around the alphabets, I am still very happy with the end product.

My brother, sister-in-law and the little angels loved the gift and this framed ZIA now adorns the wall of their room.

Hope you all like our work.

Happy Valentine's Day - Valentangle

Hi friends,

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone. :) :)

With all our love, both of us (Roshni & Neha) have made several Tanglicious Gifts for our respective husbands. These are also our entry to I am The Diva Challenge #204 .

Lets start with some beating heart by Roshni :)

Even though thats how heart looks like, Roshni thought she better tangle some beautiful hearts too :) :)

We women are very romantic and love to boldly express our love for our better half. So we had developed some beautiful "Templates for Love & I Love You". So here are Neha's version of Tangled Love & I Love You.

If you like our templates, you can find the links to download them here.

Neha has also done 2 more tangles for her husband, one with their names and another one with their initials.

We hope you like our work as much as our husband's loved them :)

A special note: We are posting almost after week but that doesnt mean we have gone off our mission 365, its just that its got difficult to post every day. So we have decided to post once or twice every week.

Spread The Love - Love Templates

Hi Friends,

Its Valentine's Week and there is Love everywhere. We have been highly inspired by Kimberly Michael of Tangled Type FB Group over the last few weeks and we decided to try our hand at creating some templates especially for this week of love.

We created templates using CorelDraw and fonts available in the software.

The first template is a template for "I Love You".  Fonts used: Script MT Bold & Planet Benson 2.

Link for downloading the template for "I Love You

The second template is a template for "Love". This template is inspired by Zentangle Inspired Art done by artist  Joyce Ann Giron. Font used:  Planet Benson 2.

To be or not to be ... Calm

To be Calm.. easier said than done J

Well I have always been told to never be in a hurry and do everything in a calm spirit. Do not lose your calm for anything whatsoever, even if your whole world seems upset.

Remain calm, always in control of yourself and you will then find out how easy to work things out

Here is a ZIA to remind all of us to be in a place of calm, a place where we can handle the chaos of life better.

One Stroke At A Time

The most important thing that I have learnt in the last few days from the art of Zentangle & the tanglers around the world is selflessness. Tanglers across the globe so gracefully share step-outs for their tangle designs & templates for others to use.

Kimberly Michael is one of the tanglers who has been very kind. She has started this tangle group on facebook called "Tangled Type" and she shares her typography templates every week for others to tangle. The 1st template she shared is the Zentangle tag line "One Stroke At A Time"

Here is my end result of the tangelation

The copyrights to the template belong to Studio Grapheme • http://studiographe.me & can be found on facebook Tangled Type group.

Luck

The new word in the 4 letter series that Roshni has tangled today is LUCK.

Along with hard work, LUCK plays a role in all things that happen around us. We wish all the good luck to one and all around us.

Love & Hope

Hi,

We were wondering the other day, what is it that keeps us going in life? After a lot of thinking and brainstorming, we came up with 2 words, which we think keep us going: Love & Hope.

Hope gives us the support that we can get through any difficulty in life & Love gives us the strength to face all the hardship of life.

Here are our Tanglicious Hope & Love for everyone.

We love to tangle & hope that we keep receiving your love always. Keep Tangling & Connecting With Us.

Happy New Year - Mission Tangle 365

Dear Friends,

Wish you all a very happy and prosperous new your.

Both me and Roshni, have decide to embark on a new journey for our blog, "Tangle 365". We would post atleast one entry per day on the blog which could be either a true Zentangle, ZIA or us practicing a New tangle design or participating in any tangle challenge..

Tangle 365 is about posting a new post every day of year and what better for us to do it then this post.. Roshni gifted me a Tanglicous birthday gift yesterday... She tangled my name and I absolutely love it and I think it's the best way to start our tangle 365 journey..

I hope you love it as much as we do.

Keep tangling and connecting with us.

Lots of love,
Tanglicious Connections

Tangle at Tanglicious

As my first post on this blog, I dedicate this tangle to my hubby dear. I took a complete weekend to complete this and i am very happy with my work.

Lots of Love
Roshni

1st ZIA Frame

Apart from the alphabets that I gifted Jitesh, I made a  photo frame with our wedding date and our names tangled within. Sharing with you all the process for the final outcome :) Hope you all like it.

Sharing the step by step process & the final ZIA with you all:

I began with drawing out the lettering on the blank canvas

Followed it up with colouring the letters and drawing an outline around the letters and drawing a border

Then filled up the blank space with various tangle patterns

I inserted a "Happy Anniversary" message in 2 of the tangles too

The final framed ZIA :)

Please do leave your valuable feedback.

An humble gift :)

Anniversaries are always special and more so if its the 1st wedding anniversary. I celebrate my first anniversary tomorrow on 19th November 2014.

Before Zentangle came along, I have been quilling. All along in the past one year, I have gifted Jitesh, my husband cards made using quilling. So this time, he said I should do something with Zentangle. I decided to do a run up to the anniversary, by gifting him tangled alphabets of his name, one alphabet each day. This is my first attempt at lettering. Hope you all like it and the thought process behind it.

Please do give your frank opinion about the same.

Love,
